"Memories of Mount Dora" Painting Series - 24 Images
Beautiful, historic Mount Dora, Fl.....
Have you visited yet?
The town of Mount Dora was incorporated into a city in 1953. Today the city retains the flavor of a small town with many historic buildings and remains a popular tourist destination. It is known for its large canopy oak trees, variety of antique and specialty shops and numerous special events throughout the year. Eight major annual events including the Mount Dora Arts Festival, an antique boat show, antique car show, sailing regatta, golf tournament, bicycle festival, crafts fair and the annual Christmas lighting festival draw thousands of visitors.
I opened my own art gallery in October of 2011. It is in the historic "Renaissance Building" on 411 N. Donnelly Street, suite 103. For the past year I have fallen in love with the town and the people in it. Many of the paintings in this series reflect many of those people who knit together the fabric of our small city. The series was painted in the Months of April and May of 2012. I send my warmest regards and blessings to all those who participated in this series.
Each painting is reproduced into 5x7 greeting cards. Each card has a description of the image on the back. The information is written as if I were a reporter doing a story on the building and the people in them. The paintings will also be reproduced into 8x10 photo-prints and 11x14 stretched canvas reproductions.
I hope you enjoy looking at these paintings as much as I enjoyed painting them!
